PRAYER LIST

NOTICE: It is the responsibility of the person requesting prayers to keep us updated on any changes in status. If we do not receive any updates within thirty days, we reserve the right to remove the requests believing that the prayers have been answered. Thank you.

(Praises to God) Updated: 5-12-26

Some have asked why we put those who have entered into rest in the praises section. It is because they are no longer suffering and await the day of our Lord’s return. Please let us know when a prayer has been answered. We request our Father’s help, so, shouldn’t we give Him praise for the answered prayers.

Jim & Ruth Coleman (Deb’s stepdad & mom): Jim took Ruth to the DMV to renew their licenses. Then, for the 1st time in 5-7 years, Ruth drove the car around her subdivision & did a great job! She hasn’t been using her legs much, so Jim wanted to refresh her memory & make sure that she can still drive. She got a new pair of slip on shoes that are helping her walk better. Jim will be having hip replacement surgery on 6/22.

Jim Morten: His lipase levels are normal, which could mean that his pancreas is no longer inflamed & possibly producing the enzymes needed to digest his food! To make the determination, Jim will stop taking the Creon (porcine pancreatic enzymes) pharmaceutical for 1 week, then have a stool check. This is encouraging news!

Steve Hicks: His BP is doing well today!

Ashley Anne Valladares (Joni’s daughter): She had surgery on 5/6. Joni texted: “My daughter, Ashley, has been released from the hospital. The surgery went well & she’s home trying to recover. I want to thank God Almighty for His divine intervention, love, & the prayers he has answered. I also want to thank my sisters & brothers in Christ for their prayers as well. Again, thank you for all your support.”

Prayers Needed

Kiera Devin-Ariel (Bert & Karma’s daughter in CA): Her divorce has been granted from abusive husband. It will be final in Nov.  Gas there is over $6/gallon for premium. Bert sent her $100 to fill her tank, for once. She’s struggling, alone, without support of husband or state. Her 2nd daughter, who has a boyfriend & is looking for a local college, graduates high school in June, causing Kiera to feel stuck in California.

Samantha Hicks: She twisted her back, slipped a disc, & went to the chiropractor this past week. She’s still laidup, but is healing.

Leann Eison (for co-worker, Aga): Aga was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer, so rare that they didn’t have any documented treatment plans & her prognosis was very poor, on 8/25.  She’s a beautiful mother of 4, from 16 to 10, from Poland, & has an amazing love for God.  The doctors were not able to perform any further operations on Aga because the cancer was too aggressive. Aga feels that God has given her peace & has answered her prayers in accepting His plan for her. Update 5/9: She just finished her last round of chemo last week. Through this journey which began in June of ’25, she’s been in several hospitals in Philly (PA), New York, & New Jersey.  On Thursday night [5/7], she was admitted to the hospital with a fever & an infection.  Her platelet count is low & she is very tired. Aga says that all along, God has blessed her with giving her little miracles, such as spending precious time with her parents from Poland & her family.

Aaron McClain: He’s “going through some stuff right now; sleep problems & depression.  He really needs prayer & God’s prescence.”

Overseas Brethren:  Please remember all brethren in your prayers/offerings for their safety/needs to be met. All are thankful for our offerings this past Feast!!  Philippines: Pastor Nestor: He has received our $1,000 funds & anointing cloths that we sent in March. There are 4 active volcanoes, with 2 eruptions there. Kanlaon erupted on March 16th. It’s close to our brethren in Cebu. Mayon erupted on May 2. It’s located SE of Manila. They are both producing lava & lots of smoke & ash.  All brethren are safe & doing well & are adding more people to the family of God. They are needing Bibles in their own language. They cost $15 each.  Altogether, there are 30 languages – many speak Tagalog, while others speak English. They had a great feast & now working on getting their Bible school up & running.  They  have trained many graduates who go out & teach. Many people are meeting! They’re on a spiritual high, baptizing weekly! The Work is going well, despite much devastation from typhoons. Most of their damaged homes have been rebuilt!  Muslims are moving into Mindanao.  Nigeria: Pastor Ezekiel: He’s doing well. He received our funds. Pastor Solomon: He’s doing well & received our funds. The lone survivor of the accident in Feb. is healing & still needs prayer. We sent funds for his medications.  Muslims are spreading across the north & staying mostly east, attacking & killing Christians. Kenya: Pastor Martin: He’s doing well & has more energy, since the screw in his ankle was removed! He’s still healing & needs prayer.  He & his  ministers oversee 40 churches in Kenya, plus others in Uganda, Tanzania, & Nigeria.  They received our funds & anointing cloths. The Uganda local church is hiding out due to much Muslim turmoil.  The Tanzanian church is really growing! We’re trying to keep our monthly commitment of  $2500 for food for the many orphans & help with rent on several meeting places. Without these, they must meet alone in their homes without a Bible or any way of learning.  We send weekly teachings & sermon links, but it’s impossible to get them to individual families without a meeting place. It’s a struggle each month to raise the necessary funds. The offerings that are given are much appreciated!

Minister in Sudan:  Wants to work under our church.  Requested $250 to cover registration & a P.O. Box (no private mail delivery available).  Steve will try to get more info.

Jeremy Atkins:  He has 5 children & his 16 year-old has Leukemia.

Bill Smith: A long-time church member, had a heart attack on 4/2 & passed away.  His wife, Darlene, is fighting cancer.

Danielle & Brooklyn (Aaron’s sister & her granddaughter): Brooklyn,17, has left her mom’s home for the 2nd time.

Joe & Laurie Meyers (request from Aaron): Laurie’s going through her 3rd bout with cancer.

Priscilla Hawkins:  She had an ultrasound on 4/28 to see if she’ll need to have any other diagnostic procedure to clarify  the suspicious area on her mammogram. I am still waiting to hear from Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana to set up an appointment for a biopsy. This is supposed to be a tissue sample for a definitive diagnosis. But I have not heard from them yet to set up an appointment to have this done. Hopefully the sooner the better. But all in God’s good Time.Marlene Brown: She’s doing well & saw her doctor on 5/1 to flush out her portal.  She doesn’t know what’s going to happen, but her faith will see her through any results.

David John (DJ – in England): He had a stroke & was lying on the floor for 6 days before being found by his daughter & grandson. He had a brain bleed 6 years ago, which has affected this incident.  He’s left the hospital (stroke ward), is  home, & has permanent home care.  He’s not able to communicate right now, but in time, he may regain these skills.

Bonnie Chrisman:  She’s still having pain from her fractures that are not completely healed yet.  She has lots of pain when she walks, stands, etc.  4/18: She stated that her pain in her legs & back are feeling much better!

Barbara Chase: The pain & swelling in her legs are not too bad, but her feet are worse with swelling, as she wears braces with diabetic shoes, her big toes are both red.  She relies on her wheelchair & is only briefly able to stand or walk. She got good news that her eyes are doing well!! She doesn’t need shots in her eyes.  4/18: She’s feeling very tired lately & can’t seem to feel fully rested.

Marilyn Turner:  She still has the usual aches & pains (osteoarthritis), taking turmeric, which seems to help. The pains now are more in her knees, legs, & back.

Mark McClain (Aaron’s brother): He’s down to 120 lbs.  Please include his wife, Becky, in your prayers.

Joni Mendez: She’s still having some lingering pain with her hip & back, but is persevering her daily life through faith & Bible study! She saw her assistant hip surgeon on 2/20, who said that she’s experiencing neurological pain on the side of her hip, confirmed the swelling in her leg, & said that it would take a year after surgery for it to heal. He referred her to PT & pain management & gave her a follow-up appt. within 6 mos.

Olga Higgins (Joni’s sister): Joni’s very happy that Olga told her that she wants to start keeping the Sabbath!! Let’s pray that she’ll learn & grow in God’s true way always & meet with us when she’s ready!

Emily Higgins (Joni’s niece/Olga’s daughter): She’s going through severe deppression.

Harry Mendez (Joni’s brother): He has shingles among other medical conditions, which include heart problems.

Bob & Joyce Dunn (Longtime friends of Wendell): Joyce is at the El Dorado Nursing Home.  She can’t stand/walk by herself. Bob’s not able to care for her himself if she returns home. She’s mostly a very positive person. One of her biggest problems is vocal communication, as she has a very soft voice. She still has trouble swallowing some foods & thin liquids. 3/14: She’s not doing well since her recent plateaue. She’s weak & sits in her chair, head hanging down, repeating that she wants to go home.

Faye Farrell (Wendell’s neighbor):  She seems to be in about the same condition. She’s about 76 yrs old & has severe back pain.  Her husband died in 2021, so she’s very depressed & missing him. She has dementia, repeating herself often.

Karma & Bert Devin: Karma’s suffering from severe pain issues due to osteoporosis & lack of joint cartilage issues (not pre-leukemia issues, which she also has). Fluctuating weather conditions pose additional problems as well. Bert’s still battling heart issues & also must wear a mask in cold weather/outside, or suffers the consequences for several hours. Sinus problems has prevented sleeping through the night for many years. Thank You, Brethren.

Kiera Devin-Ariel (Bert & Karma’s daughter): Her 3rd daughter, Eva (15), of half Polynesian descent, has run away from her home. It’s assumed that she’s chosen to disappear into the S. CA Polynesian  comm., with an undesirable boyfriend (15)/classmate who moved. The police are of no help.  PLEASE pray for God’s intervention, protection & deliverance for Eva.

Steve Hicks:  He saw his eye specialist on 3/19, finding that his heart attack & stroke have been causing his vision problems. “I have severe retinopathy, & all that I can do to keep from going blind is to do what I can to stay healthy.”  It’s been going on for awhile, but not assessed/treated heretofore. “The idea of possibly going blind wasn’t pleasing, but it’s just another trial that the Lord will help me through.”  His left carotid artery (surgery side) is clear & working well. The right side is down from 79% blocked to 69%. He’s still being seen for stroke damage, weekly vestibular therapy for balance/cognitive workouts, while still under concussion protocol.   His BP has been unstable since the last day of U.B., still elevating to high levels.  He doesn’t know why, but it could be the pressure of his spine tightening around his spinal cord.  The neurosurgeon said he’s seen many people about their backs & normally wouldn’t recommend surgery yet, but viewing my MRIs, he said I need to have the surgery on my neck to stop the damage being caused by the restriction of my spinal cord.  Surgery is scheduled for 5/29, but needs to get cardiology work & insurance approval, along with more lab work & x-rays done before then.  Recovery & therapy will take 4 – 12 weeks.

Teresa Hicks: Although she’s happy being home, the insurance coverage & available money creates some issues.  Please pray for God to help her & her family to make wise financial decisions.  Thank you All!

Samantha Hicks:  She needs prayer for taking care of her parents, Steve & Teresa.

Jim Morten:  Having pain in his legs/back. His strength is waning in his arms & legs. Several times a day he gets weak & needs rest.  He’s had COPD for yrs w/o issue, but now has daily shortness of breath.

Debbie Eichner (Deb’s cousin):  She’s still having her issues with crohn’s disease & will be seeing a trusted surgeon to discuss removing more of her colon & installing another colostomy bag.

Jim & Ruth Coleman (Deb’s stepdad & mom): Ruth is progressing further into her Alzheimer’s state, having explosive bowel issues (won’t wear adult diapers) & is not bathing/showering enough.  Jim takes great care of her!

Desiree Garcia (Deb’s friend): She lives in Nazareth, Israel training missionaries via the Baptist church.  She needs prayer for safety & guidance. The war has caused her to make a decision for the safety of the new students to cancel their missionary school for now until the war is over.  They will still operate their house of prayer & minister with the locals.

Jen Polk (Mortens’ pool guy’s wife): She’s had vestibular migraines/neuritis for years.  She always appreciates prayers!

Barbara Stillman (Deb’s friend): At 92 & a diabetic for yrs., her sight is worsening & she’s scared that she won’t be able to live alone anymore due to blindness.  She has Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS):  She appreciates our prayers!

Madison McCloskey (Deb’s cousin):  At 25, she’s basically an invalid, taking a slew of meds, in & out of hospitals weekly, refusing to follow doctors’ orders for PT & psychological help.  Very sad situation for her family.

Jesus & Sandy (Mortens’ new yard trimming couple): Sandy runs the business & Jesus does the work! Sandy requests prayers for the Lord to guide them in His presence & lead them every step of the way.
